United States Independence Day




United States declared independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain on July 4, 1776. George Washington, is the 1st President of the United States from 1789 to 1797. The eldest son of Mary Ball and Augustine Washington who was a well-to-do planter, George Washington ended his formal schooling early. He became a surveyor and continued to study military tactics. In 1787, George Washington was chosen to preside over the convention that framed the Constitution and the following year, he was elected the President.
