Baba Nyonya Heritage Musuem
It is a Peranakan's Museum. It is located at 48 - 50 Jln Tun Tan Cheng Lok, 75200 Melaka. Babas and Nyonya are Chinese of noble descendants that hava adopted much of the Malay culture into theirs. They are known as ' Straits-born Chinese ' or Peranakan.
The public can now view the heirloom unique to this heritage at the Baba & Nyonya Heritage Musuem. This is a private museum run by the Babas and Nyonyas of Melaka. Located at Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock, or better known as the billionaires's row, this heritage musuem was built during the Dutch occupancy and bought bt the Peranakans in Melaka. Visitors can see the beauty and uniqueness of Baba-Nyonya traditional costume, antique furnitures and woodwork art.
