Hawaiian Hibiscus



Hibiscus is a tropical and sub-tropical genus of the mallow family. The varied members of this group serve mankind in many ways.


Hibiscus rosa-senensis is the national flower of Malaysia and you can find road named after Hibiscus in Melaka Jalan Bunga Raya. Along this road, you could imaging or research how the old folks made their shopping from year start to year end in olden days. Jalan Bunga Raya is the only shopping street since Malaysia was declared independence in 1957 and the hive of activities lasted until Taman Melaka Raya was reclaimed from the waters of the Melaka Straits.
