Zheng He 1st Stop
Treasure Ship first berthed in central southern Vietnam.
Vietnam has established relations with China since the Qin Dynasty. The relics
of an ancient palace is in Vietnam and it arised because the Zheng He had read
out the imperial edict to the ancient King of Vietnam in front of hundreds of
the imperial Vietnamese court minister and people.
The two countries made a friendly and warm relations even
before the idea of foreign missions and foreign embassy. An esteemed banquet
was held and both Zheng He and the King exhanged gifts that today become
precious artifacts.
Friendship was made. Knowledge was shared. Zheng He provided
agricultural materials, and agricultural know-how to the Vietnamese of the
past.
