Lotus flowers are world-wide in their distribution. Lotuses are symbols of purity and spontaneous generation, divine in symbol.

Egyptians sacred lotus is a water-lily and they are figured in the sculptures of ancient temples.

Sacred lotus is also found in China, India and Tibet.

Towards the Spice Garden and beyond, there were lotuses and small fishes. On their petals, dew is in the making during the wee hours. Dew is moist, fresh, pure and renewing.
