Going green is not new to Israel, for more than 50,000,000 trees were planted about six decades ago and its achievements since its founding in 1948 are truly magnificent.


Israel has sustained well in crisis after crisis in the past. In every conceivable way, Israel had held out its hand to the immigrants with the majority from Asia and Africa. Nations, like families, have a tendency to cohere in time of crisis, to relax in time of plenty. The sandy Negev region, occupying the whole southern half of the nation, was explored, settled, and irrigated. 


On May 14, 1948, the signing of the Proclamation of Independence by 37 persons signified the beginning of the Modern Israel and the holy city is Jerusalem. In the Proclamation of Independence, the Jews guaranteed minorities "complete equality of social and political rights, without distinction of creed, race or sex with freedom to religion, conscience and culture.

Most of the Israel's population is concentrated in the country's largest cities like Haifa, Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.
